Eagle River Mine

Eagle River is located 50 kilometres west of Wawa, Ontario, within the ancestral territories of multiple Indigenous groups. Eagle River is within the Mishibishu greenstone belt and consists of a ~400 km2 land package, as well as mill and camp facilities presently supporting a high-grade, underground gold mine. Commissioned in 1995, Eagle River’s mill is permitted up to a capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day. Through both underground and previously operating open pit mining, Eagle River has produced more than 2 million ounces of gold in the last 30 years, and Wesdome continues to actively explore its prospective land package, focusing on extending its mine life.
