CEO Letter

At Wesdome, we believe our responsibility extends beyond producing gold. We are building a company that is designed to endure—one that creates sustainable value for shareholders while contributing positively to our people, our communities and the environments in which we operate.

For me, sustainability is not a separate initiative or a reporting obligation. It is fundamental to how we make decisions. It influences how we allocate capital, manage risk, develop our people, build relationships and invest in the future of our business. Ultimately, sustainability is about stewardship—leaving our company stronger than we found it.

That philosophy shaped many of the decisions we made during 2025.

Throughout the year, we remained focused on strengthening the foundations of the business. We improved operational performance, continued investing in our assets and advanced strategic initiatives that support the long-term sustainability of Wesdome. Our acquisition of Angus Gold reflects this approach. By expanding our exploration footprint around Eagle River, we are investing in the future of one of Canada’s most prospective gold districts and creating opportunities that extend well beyond today’s mine plans.

These decisions are not driven by short-term outcomes. They are guided by our belief that lasting shareholder value is created by building a resilient business with quality assets, disciplined execution and exceptional people.

People remain at the heart of everything we do.

Mining is ultimately a people business. Our success depends on the commitment, expertise and care demonstrated every day by our employees and contractors. Creating an environment where people feel safe, respected, supported and empowered is not only the right thing to do—it is essential to building a high-performing organization.

Safety is therefore our first priority and a value that underpins every decision we make. During 2025, we achieved a significant improvement in our Total Recordable Incident Frequency Rate, reducing it to 1.0 from 2.68 in 2024 and 6.34 in 2023. While we are encouraged by this progress, we measure success by something far more important: ensuring every person returns home safely to their family at the end of every shift.

Strong performance also depends on building a culture where people are trusted, challenged and able to grow. During the year we continued investing in leadership, capability development and fostering an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives strengthen our decision-making and our business.

Our commitment to responsible mining extends equally to the environments and communities in which we operate.

We continued to strengthen our environmental management systems, recorded no significant environmental incidents and advanced permitting activities through constructive engagement with regulators, Indigenous partners and local communities. We recognize that trust is earned through consistent actions, transparency and respectful relationships developed over time.

During the year we also continued to strengthen the governance and management systems that support long-term sustainability. Advancing our Sustainability Management System and implementing the Towards Sustainable Mining framework are important milestones, but more importantly they reinforce disciplined decision-making, effective risk management and continuous improvement throughout our organization.

As I reflect on the year, I am reminded that sustainable businesses are not built by focusing solely on today’s performance. They are built through thoughtful decisions that strengthen an organization over many years. They are built by investing in people, developing quality assets, maintaining financial discipline and never compromising our values.

I often say that leadership is about leaving something stronger than you found it. That philosophy guides how we think about Wesdome’s future. Every decision we make should improve the long-term quality of our business and create enduring value for those who depend on our success.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and our Senior Leadership Team, I would like to thank our employees, contractors, Indigenous partners, local communities and shareholders for their continued trust, commitment and support.

Together, we are building a company that is safer, stronger and better positioned to create sustainable value for generations to come.
